Our RAN team continues to be hard at work on our regional investment program, finalising 26 cell site improvements in October. This was all undertaken with strict compliance to Covid-19 health and safety requirements in mind and represents the impressive mahi of our team.
These improvements included six new mobile sites at Pyes Pa South, Katikati North, Waihi Beach South, Bowentown, Hairini and Papamoa South East. We also added two Rural Connectivity Group (RCG) sites and upgraded 18 existing Vodafone sites.
All our new mobile cell sites were in the Bay of Plenty region, giving faster internet and better mobile and wireless broadband coverage for the locals and tourists who will be enjoying the stunning region this summer. The cell sites upgrade program predominately aims to strengthen 4G and/or 5G coverage for customers.
