Kia ora Georgia! New Head of Brand & Marketing joins Vodafone NZ

Global advertising leader Georgia Mahaffie will be joining in January 2022

Vodafone New Zealand is delighted to announce the appointment of Georgia Mahaffie to the role of Head of Brand & Marketing.

Georgia joins Vodafone after nine years at renowned advertising agency VCCP in London, Seattle and New York, most recently as Managing Director.

As well as working at some impressive advertising agencies (VCCP, AMV, Clemenger BBDO), she’s had some incredible clients. From big national telcos (O2, T-Mobile) to technology brands (Google, Sonos) - and iconic challengers (Virgin, Twitter) to icons in their own right (Transport for London).

Vodafone Experience & Commercial Director, Joe Goddard, says he can't wait for Georgia to join the team and add a new level of pizzazz to the company's marketing.

“Georgia has an impeccable track record and I can’t wait to see what she’ll now do at Vodafone NZ. We were looking for someone who could bring more sophistication and excitement to our brand, and I’m so pleased we’ve found Georgia. Her leadership will be integral in continuing our transformation into a truly digital company that is focused on delivering remarkable experiences for our customers.”

In Georgia’s own words, she says: “2022 will provide a unique opportunity for brands to cement their purpose, so consumers have no doubt what they stand for. I’m thrilled to be joining an amazing team of people already on this mission. New Zealand has a strong international reputation for innovation and creativity, and I can’t wait to get started.”

Georgia joins Vodafone on 17 January 2022. Executive Search organisation, Hourigan International, led the global search for the position.
