Andrew Haddad a finalist for New Zealand CIO of the Year 2021

Congratulations to Vodafone NZ Chief Information Officer, Andrew Haddad, for being named one of the three finalists in the running to be named New Zealand CIO of the Year 2021.

The New Zealand CIO Awards are run by IDC and recognise individuals and teams who have shown leadership, innovation, and foresight in their contribution to ICT and business.

Andrew joined Vodafone in September 2019 and is leading the company on a digital transformation and stabilisation journey.

Commenting on the accolade, Andrew says, “It’s a massive honour for me to be in the finalist category, alongside two other remarkable digital leaders. We’ve been on a journey at Vodafone NZ over the past couple of years to improve our IT systems for customers and staff, and this award recognises the work of the entire IT team to bring greater stability and agility into our function.”

Having worked in the IT and telecommunications sector for 20 years, Andrew has a wealth of knowledge and is known for delivering complex technology programs and enterprise-wide transformations.

Vodafone NZ CEO, Jason Paris praised Andrew for his leadership. “Andrew is a world-class leader, delivering outstanding results and his nomination for CIO of the Year is very well deserved. In just two years Andrew and his team have reduced our tech debt by 78%, significantly improving customer and staff experience. We’re aiming for remarkable simplicity in everything we do, and this award recognises the journey Andrew is leading within our business.”
